basic stats since the start of 2003, including the player's 2006
actual minor league stats from full-season Single-A on up, you get:

Each player who hasn't already made it to the
majors (or who hasn't appeared since the end of the 2005 season) is assigned a precise percentage chance of
appearing or reappearing in the majors within the next two years. Of the top 100 ranked players using
this same rating method in 2002, 82 of them appeared in the majors within the two year
time frame. Of the top 20 players listed in terms of 2002 chances to make it to
the majors within two years, all 20 of them did just that. Of the almost
2,000 prospects who got a <1% rating in this category in 2002, only 4 of those players have since made it to the majors.
We reveal each and every call-up percentage chance
assigned for every prospect. Needless to say, this is a crucial number
in forecasting the more immediate value of prospects in 2007 and 2008 as you
wait for them to reach their projected prime ability.

For every player in the edition with at least 100 minor
league at bats since the start of 2006 or 50 minor league innings since then, a
long-term projection is offered that lists precisely what the player's real ability will
be in the year he is projected to be in his prime. More than 3,000 players
have such a projection in this report. Beyond that, we
actually tell you exactly what year that prime should be! Prospects might peak
as early as age twenty-two and as late as their early thirties, depending on
the type of player they are and how they fit into the signature age
and valuation model.

For every player who is projected to have any sort of extended big league
career at all (even projected bench-warmers of the future), this E-Book assigns them a unique
"prospect rating" which assigns a value to the quality of career the
player is expected to have. No more not being able to discern the
difference in quality between a #1 and a #2 prospect! This E-Book will
tell you the exact prospect rating assigned to the player, summarizing in a single number the quality of big league career he is likely to
produce.

For every hitter, we list the number of games played at each position
(C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, DH) in each of his minor league seasons since the start of
2003.

For pitchers who are minor league starters, we project two
possible prime abilities rather than one for many of them, one if the pitcher ends up as a big league starter and
one if he ends up as a big league reliever. We also provide an additional
future projected ERA if the pitcher somehow achieves control ability beyond our
expectations - this way we account for pitchers who have good stuff but control
problems in the "upside" aspect of what we call projected
"control ERA."

All pitchers for whom we have projected a prime year, in
addition to their prospect rating, get a unique "closer index" rating
which tells you the chances that this pitcher, based on his skills, would end up
as a closer if he ends up in the bullpen in the big leagues. Our mid-2005 edition of this same e-book had Jon Papelbon among the ten highest "closer
index" ratings of any pitcher in the entire edition, even though he had
been a starter throughout his minor league career.
This book offers many lists for quick discovery of the

we list the top 30 prospects at each position, the top 99 players most likely
to appear/reappear in the majors within the next two year and the top 500 prospects
